When we lived in SC, this was the policy of the Charleston schools. My husband said that the people who really affirmed the trans kids in his building (besides adults like him who defied the policy), were kids. And teachers who were transphobic saw the cis children being kind and making space. 1/2

Those trans kiddos thriving with the care of their classmates truly helped the bigoted adults (and *some* of the bigoted kids) to recognize their ignorance and change their understanding. There was a culture of bullying transphobes. It was beautiful. Hope this law goes nowhere! World building works!
