I voted for the Green Party once, though it was for Nader. My wife stayed home that election. No big deal, it was just November 2000. In Florida. Decided by 537 votes. Just SCOTUS Roberts and Alito. Just wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. I don't vote third party anymore, once was bad enough.

I voted for Nader/Green Party in 1996, not as a spoiler but to help the party get ballot access in DC for future elections. Then once they had ballot access I saw the clown show they were and never voted third party again.

Thank you for saying so. More people need to speak up about what happened in 2000 and 2016. The damage done by those presidencies is vast.

I voted first time for a third party, and Reagan got in. There's always some sucker like me, but at least I never made that mistake again.

You need to fix the voting-mode first, so smaller parties still can prevail and get represented in congress & senate. Something like www.irishtimes.com/news/politic... And of course, presidential elections are the last where a smaller party can do anything, except take votes from another party.

It wasn't decided by 537 voters, though. SCOTUS simply decided that it would be unfair to Bush for Florida to count all the votes. Absolutely not the same
