No war? What about the Siege of Osaka (1614-1615) and the Shimabara rebellion (1634-1635)?
ah! That's a great point! There was “Osaka no Jin” and “Shimabara Rebellion”! There were other small civil wars... It was a time of relative peace amidst global tensions😁
