Finally biting the bullet and trying Scrivener is legit the only way I was able to even get started on my longform fiction. It uses movable scenes in an outline that lets me write whatever I feel like when I want to and then also lets me outline and it's very handy

I rate scriv and also use it to write comics. It’s also the cheapest of the screenwriting tools and doesn’t crash (looking at you Final Draft)
