Yes we have this a lot in computing where really huge early contributions by women are forgotten or downplayed and a small number of often less technical contributions highlighted to suit a narrative that women can only succeed in the field if given opportunities to exercise 'soft skills'.

Sometimes it's well-intentioned I guess but I'm glad a fuller history of computing is being told today so young women have a chance to find someone like them to look up to. I look forward to reading your book and finding out about a lot of women I too know only by name at most!
