This came to mind second though. I remember not understanding what was so good about it at first when I was a kid until it was resolved against me for the first time and I quickly learned as it would go on to ruin me week after week.
It's just so charming. It's a bomb you throw. It's one of the simplest implementations of the concept while still having a Magic: The Gathering flourish that makes it its own thing by being part of a cycle, weird as that is to say.

I really like this game's system. I think the abstraction of "loading" cards like bullets into your guns captures the gameplay feeling of positioning in a fighting game really well while also being very evocative for the theming. boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/31...
