... Röki's 'third act' turned out to be much longer than we were expecting and we introduced a new mechanic. It was kinda essential for the story we wanted to tell, but definitely impacted the pacing.

Ico is an excellent example. It and Shadow of the Colossus are among my favorite game stories and I've long been trying to figure out how they did what they did!!
