When we know what people wore, we know what their lives were like. Moreover, the designers and their workshops get work to put on the show in the first place, and potentially future orders. Those are art jobs AI cannot steal.

and the “oh ho, how ironic that the theme is that decadence leads to destruction yet again” people are missing the point that the irony is purposefully introduced by the museum staffers and event planners who create the gala every year because otherwise this distinctive collection will die
