Pretty much. Hard to even feel good about the alts. Just checked and Lemmy has 50k users globally and kbin.social isn't resolving properly. Guess I'll join Lemmy just to lend momentum but oof.
Even for someone willing to pay, enough people wouldn't that it would become a shell anyway, therefore making it not worth paying, making a big feedback loop.
