Honestly, one of my favourite things about this season is all the stuff between Baker and Jayston. Two old-school actors verbally sandbagging each other, whilst the Oxo mum tries to keep a lid on it. Worth the price of admission on its own.
Aaaand home. How did I cope with an hour spent siting on a drafty Coventry Station you might ask? (I know, you didn't. But you _might_ have). In the end it turned out that Souma Haruto was my final hope... (#ifyouknowyouknow).
That could well be the case.
The timing of this showing up in my Sky two sheets below the Miyasaki "I never think about the audience" quote is perfection. Because it is true - creators owe the audience nothing but a story, of the storytellers telling. Not the audiences.
Yay! Our Tomato! *snoopy dance*
I love RoP Galadriel. K loved her "nope, can't lay my burdens down. Someone else might get it wrong. I have to know its been done right" attitude. Absolutely sold that she began as steel and iron, and just keeps getting tempered and honed to a finer edge.
Of course you can like both. No reason not to like a Space Opera thing and a fantasy thing. That'd be like saying you can't like Gunslingers and martial arts. This isn't football, you don't gotta pick a team and then hate the other teams.
Travelled by Livestock Service (CrossCountry's human livestock trucks). Knee swollen due to having to wedge it at a strange angle so that we didn't topple onto each other. Limped over the bridge at Coventry, only to discover an hours wait for my next train home... ah well. I have coffee at least...
Thinking about KR:Wizard's power announcements. Really like that the word choices say something about the wielders- Haruto: Please, Nitou: GO! And The White Mage: Now! little hints about their personality wove into the presentation of their powers. S'good.
