It has grown on me over the years. I wasn't that fond of it on transmission when I was younger, but it is one I have come to appreciate more as I got older. I think it has layers that you appreciate more as you become more worldly.

Yeah, Varos actually has something to say for itself - and throwing the Doctor, not someone unused to facing danger and peril for a cause, into a society that sadistic where violence is practiced for, basically, titillation really makes the point quite sharply.

But on the bright side, you get to show us how cool it is. Which is a cool thing to do... (Switch On is an absolute certified Banger, not surprised the video is one too).

You are far from alone in feelin she reads as being on the spectrum. I think it is an entirely plausible reading of the character.

Pretty much the position I expected Chaosium to take, but it is good to see them come out and make themselves clear. Always nice to see which companies have a respect for artistic endeavour.
