Ignorance can be excused; we are all born ignorant. Being incurious can not. I swear there is a correlation between being incurious and lacking empathy. If you don't care about the world around you, you tend to not care about the people in it.

I totally agree. And I also understand that to a certain extent, curiosity is a mark of privilege; if you're struggling to survive, you're probably not wondering about the fossilization of words or anything. But everyone can be curious about other people, you know?
