Limerick City has a CAO style system for applications to schools. I truly wish this was rolled out nationally. It would save on so much admin work, stress and I wouldn't need 5 copies of my daughter's birth certificate
Why do we not have a CAO system for schools? I understand that some schools love to write in their reports that 350 kids applied for 28 places but what's the value in that when each of those kids' parents applied to 5 other schools? Ireland I love you but this is pure madness 🤯
Every parent I know going through this particular trauma, applies for several schools because they hear that every school will be over subscribed and they're terrified their kid won't get a place
Currently wading through the murky swamp, that is trying to get a place for my child in a local primary school. All the local schools have different application dates, offer dates, acceptance dates, then there are the second and third round offers 🤯
