okay that bike was broken lol. the bike i rode home after the race had pedal assist. i used it on the high bridge (which was a challenge for the throttle-only) but not much outside that just because…see knee issues. so what luck the 3 pre-race trips were on the busted bike!

also i thought about it on the way home and no way that throttle goes as fast as the one on a nice retail bike. when we were in NOLA my wife maxed hers out (on an empty road) just to see what it was like but it was so fast i was too nervous to do even close to that. these bikes are NOT that fast.
