Most victims of scams don’t talk about it because they’re embarrassed. Making fun of someone who talks about how they were scammed reinforces that. This only helps the scammers! Hearing these stories helps the rest of us avoid getting scammed.

Even if you think that a scam sounds obvious, you don’t need to insult the person who fell for it. And seriously, none of us is too smart to get scammed.
