Yeah… I’m after A going to the right school for him in the context of where we are. But… in terms of what it has resulted in, I’d say a lot of stress and a tutoring industry!

Yep… it’s such an anachronism. Also add in this mix Kent and Medway doing their own things rather than one test, despite many kids going “over the border” as that’s where their nearest viable school is… best of luck to Nico and you all next year!

It lives and breathes in various counties/boroughs/unitary authorities in England (poss Wales, too?) He’s fine… not too bothered by it all and we have treats for tonight. But for others, the pressure is huge.

That’s going to make heading west to see my family in Wales even more “interesting” around Christmas time - useful warning! But… I have to love that they used Shania Train for the test run

This then took him on a journey to Scotland where he did his training with the Polish Army, before - from what I can make out in scribbled Polish - he served in the Polish occupied part of Germany. Then he was back to the UK in the Polish Resettlement Corps, which led to him becoming a miner.

Not had that… yet. Well, not in a way that’s not an obviously recorded message. But I can v much see this as a new tactic - anything to get you back on the phone to them and not your actual bank/phone provider etc.

This is very true! I also suspect that the amount of scam calls have reduced e.g. banks’ own genuine calls to customers…
