No oil execs are pretending climate change isn’t real afaik. Things have moved on. Publicly accepting climate science is necessary but absolutely not sufficient.

You're right that no publicly traded oil company execs are denying climate change. These days it's coming from guys like the Wilks brothers who made their fortunes from smaller, privately held firms.
