That is completely true. We’ve baked our vulnerability into our systems as we determined building codes, designed infrastructure, allocated water, drew geopolitical boundaries, and established cities that are all designed for a planet that no longer exists.

I'm baffled, when I have time to think about it, e.g., that Israel and Hamas are fighting over Gaza. Has none of them looked at a topographic map? It's all going to be underwater before long. Could we please start putting our time and energy into adapting and rooting out the basic cause?
