In front of you, you see a single set of footprints, clearly left by someone in a hurry, still visible in the mud. They quickly disappear into the marshy undergrowth.
At first the field appears to be a normal field, but the longer you look, the easier it is to notice there is an odd mirage that warps the sky around it. It looks endless and dizzying.
The swamp is flat, and dotted with little ponds, each one brimming with strange, greasy yellow algae. Bright red flowers bloom in these pockets of ochre slime. Pizza comes to mind, but in a way that makes you never want to eat it again.
This party is even more awkward than the time your Great Aunt Euphemia brought her pet scorpion to dinner.
It is wonderful to see nothing. Ignorance is bliss you think, as you walk down what appears to be an empty hallway.
