Help Now it does this I can't see what I'm typing as everything's pushed upwards android 10, Moto 7 gboard

I can only add text like this - the text entry shifts up, there's a load of white space then the keyboard. The only way I could type anything was to insert an image then try. Everything zoomed upwards. I could see the little character count clock thing working so I know it was accepting input. But I can't correct mistakes. This happened after last update. Search and DMS work ok but can't really skeet. Dread to think how this'd affect those with accessibility issues.
