Yeah, pop music has always been like this, that’s why Niall Rodger’s number one rule for his songs was to always start with the chorus. It has always had songwriters that aren’t the artist themselves too, you can go all the way back to Elvis and he wrote pretty much none of his songs
There are a lot and I’ve already found new music through here! But you do have to curate your algorithm quite a bit, I’ve had to block or mark a lot of art posts as not interested, and like and follow a lot of musicians/composers
