An organisation I work with did a Wear it Purple day event and I was a little disappointed with how it kind of failed to acknowledge that there's domestic issues with LGBTIAQ+ rights, not just international ones – especially because it was organised by cool queers.

Maybe it's because it was a government organisation, so they wanted to avoid making any political statements?
