Oh no. We have an Old Latch that has died on us 2x (and the latches, being Old, are Expensive to replace). We gave up and made it a magnetic catch with an ornamental knob. MUCH less annoying.

Oh no, those are such a pain! If we'd had the right tool to drill the right size hole in the door... *sigh*

I thought the 100 year old doorknobs in my old house were bad.

I had a door like that once. Many a guest became unwittingly trapped during parties. One nearly resorted to climbing out the window.

When I was redoing the busted doors a few years ago, I found that these particular knobs date back to THE REVOLUTIONARY FUCKING WAR. Screw your weird choices, previous homeowners and Founding Fathers, I’m just going to 3D print a replacement part.

I'm impressed by the screwdriver, myself.
