2x hook isnt enough - will just lead to opener DHs, or even just going with the P in the lineup and save the bat for a PH AB when you know it counts. Fine with the 6 IP min. Or, each pitching change costs an intentional walk. 2nd change, 2 IBBs, etc. It's got to hurt - Lose the DH the next day?

I understand your point but I am skeptical managers would do something like an opener DH. Runs count just as much no matter what inning they are scored in. If anything it could put a premium on scoring early knowing you may lose DH after just 2 times through your order.
