It's been 2 years since we started trialling the 4-day week at Chucklefish! It has been a crowning achievement for myself and the studio as a whole. My role in the trial was to identify risk in the publishing team and implement new processes to make it work. So, how did we do it?

Chucklefish is not a particularly data-driven company and we do not boil employees down to sprint points or any mere statistic. The goal was to achieve a better work/life balance. Especially after all the lockdowns had reshaped our personal priorities and the kind of team we wanted to be.
