I find it very upsetting. As a rule, larger people have TRIED to lose weight, often going to great lengths and enduring a lot of misery. That so many smaller people think obesity automatically signals laziness and selfishness....ugh.

I went looking for this one too. I think it demonstrates how the NYT conceives of its centrality in election narratives (even as it destructively pretends at neutrality and flogs its racehorse coverage). Why else would casual speculation from contributors (some of whom are great) be worth printing?

Tangent - it's wild that FB claims to have a policy against misleading engagement farming. They absolutely jam my default feed full of exactly that, and don't give me any way to turn that off. (I do know that what you were doing was not that, at all.)
