I wasn’t at the parade- but my cousin and friends were. All safe. The mom of 2 killed went to my high school. The shooting was steps from my husband’s work. I’m profoundly sad bc #KansasCity is not just our town, it’s a remarkable and kind city that lost its innocence in a collective celebration.
