Seems like olde timey writers of pirate tales knew this. The original grimdark.
It makes art sound like the stock market
I've never had a problem with running it mid game. I guess if you already built a ton of stuff and don't want to have to clear it for the zoning it could be annoying to start up.
Yeah, I'm similar. But I love finding a great location and then building it out. Sim Settlements 2 is worth a try too if you feel that way, since it allows you to just zone areas and let people build things there for you. Plus it has a voiced questline that's kinda fun.
You ever try the Conquest mod? I love turning the game into one where I'm just scouting the map for cool spots to plop down a settlement.
Yeah, caffienated I write at about 3-4000 words a day on RPG work, which is tedious. Novels look pretty easy at this point. Just not sellable.
Saving this article for later use! It really articulates and details some design principles I've been picking up over the years. Great job.
I feel like he'd be pithier though.
Worth noting that not every country has the same definition of billion though, in terms of how many zeroes. I got into an unnecessarily heated economics argument with a South African once because of this.
I dated a gamer last year who didn't have a gaming group, but she did have tons tattoos of dice and Critical Roll-related stuff. Very weird to feel out gamered by someone who doesn't even play.
