There has been some really strong coverage of the @gamehistoryorg.bsky.social study in the last 24 hours. This one does a great job of explaining why we’re forced to care about availability in the commercial market, and why it doesn’t have to be that way.
87% of classic games are out of print. That’s a problem for gaming history.

I really enjoyed reading this cause it made me think of games in a whole new light. Anyhow yeah I'm glad I have my lil Retro Pi with the complete libraries of every system released before 1996
