Something I learned from this project: It did not persuade a *single* Republican. It just convinced them that I was biased and only reporting the stuff that made *their* side look bad. I invited them to send me the "missing" stories they were *sure* were out there. None _ever_ did.

If this is a true social phenomena, it bears discussion in the scientific literature. There is a genetic component to narcissism and psychopathy, and to liberalism and conservatism. Antisocial behavior is a social problem with roots in the gene pool. Eugenics isn’t it; what are policy solutions?

I realized this effort, this gnawing disgust, the constant interruptions as I'd get notices of *yet another* kiddie fucker to tabulate? Documenting it wasn't going to change things. Why put myself through this, why corrode my empathy, if I can't persuade one person by weight of evidence?

Look at their policies and attitudes, their complete apathy toward dead students, they way they casually talk about abusing women. It shouldn't surprise ANYONE, even them.
