I think it’s fair to say that concerns about “free speech culture” are not evenly distributed. Whether or not this conduct is protected, it’s absolutely harassing and intimidating, and absolute suppresses speech at least as much as shouting mean things at conservatives.

I think the asymmetry is that this aspiring Ben Shapiro knows he will get boosted, potential financial support, and even a spot on the conservative blowhard circuit; whereas left wing students shouting down conservative speakers get (correctly) criticized for their counter-productive behavior...

I assume the number of people who claim concern about "cancel culture" who are protective of progressive speech is approximately zero. Maybe one very dumb person?
