A few days ago, the price of a small bag of pita bread in Lebanon was ~50,000LL (a/b US$.56). Now my friend can’t find bread for less than 100,000LL ($1.12), if he can find it at all. To get a sense of historical inflation, a small bag of bread before the 2019 financial crisis was 500LL.
