The thing about D&D is they have so many settings they could have an entire marvel-style multiverse with unique movies for every genre, Spelljammer for scifi, Ravenloft - horror, etc Its a huge missed opportunity.
And base it in Spelljammer or Ravenloft or Dark Sun.
