Al Jaber restating that he "respects the science" etc etc. Aus' gov't does the same thing: they really do accept, respect, believe the science etc But they continue to expand fossil fuel production: that is, they *know* what they're doing causes harm, yet choose to do it anyway youtu.be/VaKKOSdtR50

reduce. Global emissions 43. That is 22 gigatons by 2030. And we need to make that happen. To keep. 1.5 wouldn't reach. And I have been. Crystal clear. On the fact. That that is a critical success factor if we want to keep 1.5 within reach. Let me say from the outset. Everything this presidency. Has been working on. Continues to work on. Is focused. On and centered around. The science. And, I have been. Crystal clear. On that point. And every opportunity I had With many around the world and all of my public engagements

Super gutsy to say "saying we're expanding fossil fuels is a lie" when you just got your OPEC baseline production increased.

A majority of the wealthiest 1% of humans truly think climate change is something that will affect the rich world only after 2035-50. They don’t realise how overheated the oceans are & how 2024 will already see extreme weather decimating global food supply chains and hurricanes hit Europe.

Al Jaber knows very well here that talking about his own 'passions for science' means no one is talking about ADNOC's plans to increase its production of fossil fuels 40% by 2030
