Ugh yesssss. If Elon had to build X as a platform from the ground up it would never have taken off. Cannibalising an already successful platform was the only way. It's so sad that people who aren't the target demographic linger there for what it used to be. It's only going to get worse.

Excellent article! I left Twitter because I could not support either Musk or the hate that was promoted on the app any longer. I left behind some followers but I’d rather do that than contribute to the X shit show.

I hear from policy colleagues here in the US that they feel like they have to stay on X because, even as awful as it is now, most of our journalists and members of congress are largely still there. Do you think that’s true worldwide?
