ALSO that the game treats its one female character awfully is unfortunate but not unexpected. That Professor Layton *himself* treats her awfully is INFURIATING.

Professor Layton 3 makes me so mad, I don't know if the whole series was like this and I can't remember or if this one is just a weak link. Two of the ten chapters my goal is to go to a building, and then the chapter ends having learnt I can't go inside yet and just come back later.
