I think in a world where everyone's home/apartment had software that coordinated devices (heat pumps, water heaters, EV chargers, etc.) to respond to price signals this could make sense, but we don't live in that world. Without automation, not fair or particularly helpful IMO

My research group works on that but the automation has a long way to go and adoption is basically zero atm
