Seriously, if reporters are going to ask questions about Biden’s capabilities solely because he’s old and not because of any actual mistakes made, then they should also ask about the mental capabilities of younger candidates who insist on wildly untrue things.

One major blessing of Biden is that he filled supporting rolls with capable people. He could nap all day and good work would still be done because he generally picked good people to do it.

The problem is that that relies on people looking at evidence. The GOP's strategy has been "just keep repeating the same talking points until they're accepted as facts." And because they've spent decades playing the media, reporters won't be so willing to push back against their claims.
