And yet the race remains a virtual tie. This country is screwed.
I think this highlights the "low expectations" factor that the media allows Trump to get away with. With McCain, it was seen as deeply damning that he went with Palin, and I think it hurt him. McCain, however, was seen as competent and responsible. But the media shrugs off Trump's incompetence.
How many Scaramuccis does that translate into?
And unlike Palin who could see Russia from her living room he can't even see The Great American Ballpark from his Cincinnati living room.
How is that not enough for the GOP to use a cartoon hook to yank the dude offstage during the debate? You have a scarecrow stuffed full of Infowars flyers and a pre-recorded Ben Shapiro podcast take his place and hardly anyone would be able to tell.
