One of the things I occasionally think about is the public pools filled in with concrete in the 50s, 60s and how the whites, now denied a pool, celebrated because it meant the Blacks couldn’t use the pool. Seems people actively working against their personal interests is American as apple pie, etc.

The “polite klan.” When names of Citizens Council members and executives were released for Jackson MS I was horrified to discover a neighbor on the list. A very polite and proper lady I’d been friendly with until her death. They didn’t hate blacks! Just opposed race mixing! It was chilling.

The reason these ads are effective in 2024 is because there is something inherently discriminatory to women to require them to compete against people with the skeletal frame, the hands and feet, and the musculature of erstwhile male bodies. There will need to be trans leagues for sports.
