This is probably why I gravitated so much towards hkvh. The way they speak to each other is noticeably different than how they interact with others. When characters are surface level with everyone, they feel kind of disconnected from the rest of the world.

I feel similarly when other characters are featured in hangouts. They're posed more like genuine connections, rather than meeting a stranger and tackling an issue together (looking at you, summer events...), so you get a feel for the closeness between characters.

I want to know how these characters know *each other*, what they've done and said in the past, retell scenes from their profile stories, anything like that. I don't know why I crave history tidbits. It feels more intimate.

Sometimes I go re-read the dialogue and letters from Hidden Strife and man, that was such a quality event. I wish they did more like that, especially for character stories. Just delve into characters' histories and exchanges instead of making them solve an NPC-presented issue.

Normally this doesn't bother me, but Imaginarium Theater... I want my one (1) friend to be able to borrow my characters if they want and not have them be downgrades lol.

Been realizing lately my artifacts kinda suck... and I definitely don't have enough of them. When I see the ideal crit rate is 70-100 on other people's builds I'm like, oh, I barely make it past 40% on anyone. 😅

But from a gameplay perspective (since some people don't give a single F about the story) I guess it makes sense if you're the kind of player who only wants to play absolutely busted units and slay in combat while also having those characters be your favorites. Valid! Five stars shine in battles.

Four stars don't necessarily get shafted in quality (Kaveh has a very in-depth background and unique personality) and five stars aren't necessarily doted on (Eula? I still love her design to death but the alleged prejudice against her family isn't shown much at all).

I don't have the emotional energy to get angry at a video game (that I have no control over) when it doesn't go the way I think it will and doesn't play by my made up rules. Anyway, whether Ororon or Citlali, or both or neither of them, are five stars, it will be acceptable to me.

Personally, I like seeing predictions go horribly awry. Then again, I'm very bad at making predictions and connecting dots, so this suits my "anything could happen and the writers could convince me that it makes sense" mindset.
