the idea you need “debate” to be a proper platform has been pretty thoroughly debunked in my opinion. I’ve seen plenty of healthy dialogue of people disagreeing amicably because the block feature ensures it stays that way and prevents the toxic sludge you have to wade through just to open twitter

Yesterday there was some RW troll "just asking questions" & he was added to a RW Troll blocklist I was already using & was blocked while I was working. So efficient, & i did nothing & only knew about it because of some screenshots.

Removing the block feature was always my red line. Not having Twitter for a week because of a dead phone in the repair shop and no app on my tablet, I've had to do without it, and it's been surprisingly easy to do without. Once I can get back in, I'll deactivate my account and be don't with Elon.
