So this is fun and cool and actually the PSP's speakers are doing some really lovely things with this music but now I'm kinda mad that it's easier to transfer music to a PSP memory stick than to my own iPhone using iTunes

Yeah, that's part of why I use a modern walkman lol. Much easier to just drag everything onto a microsd card and call it a day!
It also just looks way cooler. The PSP was my music player for a while before I got an iPod.
iTunes is such a blight that I ended up choosing to pay for a third party program for file transfers instead, there's something weirdly controlling about that program.
Oh! Yes! Welcome to loving your PSP more than any MP3 player you could possibly imagine! I have one set up by my bed for my nightly playlist on a timer. It's perfection!
