I’ve considered upgrading to a larger screen size - I have a still going strong 2007 52” 1080p Sharp TV - but this size is about as bulky as I can manage moving comfortably on my own.

Gee, that sounds remarkably similar to my setup. Pictured is a Sharp Aquos 1080 50, I think. Not sure of the model year, but probably several years newer than yours. I still have it and it works, but it's a dumb TV and the reds are definitely bloomy now. I'll have to huck it when I move.
