So follow-on question to this statement. Do you think people in these worlds just see mice and other animals with clothes and think "well, that's normal." I know Secret of NIMH it specifically is not normal, but the others I don't think even bother addressing it. How would you handle it yourself?

You know the problem with the world today…? Nobody is making animated movies about mice anymore.

:b Tragically, with the peculiarities common to most of these situations, sapience is often judged by communication skills. As not all of these creatures are able to speak to humans... the humans are more than likely dismissive of these things.
