I've been watching Agatha. So I think they'd definitely get to me, but the team would murder each other en route. And then I wouldn't feel totally confident they wouldn't sacrifice me for power after they found me.
You should also show them the comically large plug you're wearing.
You probably will get piled on by the userbase if you're a general dick in ways that aren't ban-worthy though. This site is very trans and SW positive.
Other than that, don't be a dick. I've seen tweets saying that this site has brutal censorship. It really doesn't - you'll get banned if you treat other users in ways that would get you fired from any job. Like how moderation on the internet used to work!
This feed shows posts from people who are following you who you don't follow back: bsky.app/profile/did:... Rather than trying to track and assess everyone who follows you immediately for a "follow back", you can periodically scan for fun accounts in that feed.
Feeds are the equivalent to Twitter's "For You" / "Following" tabs, except fully customisable. If you're here for porn, this feed is a concentrated stream of just NSFW media from people you follow: bsky.app/profile/did:...
There is no such thing as private accounts here BUT in the Moderation tab, there is an option to mark your account so that your bleats shouldn't turn up in search engines etc. I don't think it's particularly secure but it should make you less searchable by people not on the site.
BlueSky have implemented an in-app browser recently. I'd suggest you turn it off. It's new and doesn't have a lot of features yet. But even when it's been improved, it's still never going to be as good as the dedicated browsing app you use. And probably won't have any ad-blocking built in.
Loads of people have told you to check the options in your moderation tab to make sure you see NSFW if you want to. But if your feed is still looking sparse, check your "Following Feed Settings". By default, you won't see the replies to posts even between two people you follow.
Newskies: I've seen threads about how BlueSky works, but there are a few things that I think are handy to know which don't come up as often. 🧵
