My first (and ideal) tabletop experience for the longest time was 5e. It was easy to run, left room for me to flex my game design muscles, and a good DM could make it really engaging as a player. But as time has gone on, I drifted away, it's no longer my go-to, simply because Hasbro mishandled it.
