Type 1 is difficult to deal with because it can be so unpredictable, even when you somewhat have it under control. I feel for him because it is rough. :(
Thankfully, he's really good about taking care of it. But there has been times I've seen him briefly black out due to extremely low blood sugar, and it can be scary to deal with.
