I have survived the last ten years on sheer spite so I can finally smack that egg on the back of his bald head.
Just cos I don't post abt ____ doesn't mean I'm unaware, not invested, etc & I'm sure it's true for others. I use this place for frivolity & fun mostly, but that doesn't mean my brain isn't teeming w thoughts, opinions, ruminations on current events. I usually deliberately choose not to share them.

After everyone’s amazing movie answers I’ve gotta ask, my mentions be damned: What’s your best memory of reading a novel? I’m not asking about the best novel you’ve ever read, I’m asking about the experience of reading that novel. What’s your favorite memory associated with reading a novel and why?
A weird 'favourite' memory I know, but it was The Hobbit and LotR that sparked a life-long passion for fantasy. It was reading my first Discworld book (Going Postal) a few years later that really cemented it. And to think I only picked up The Hobbit because it had a dragon on the cover. 😆
The first time I read Lord of the Rings I was about 12 years old. When I reached Frodo's encounter with Shelob I was *so* upset thinking Frodo had gone through so much only to die right at the end. My mum had to console me and tell me Frodo wasn't dead so that I'd keep reading!
I finally have new art to share! One of Lark's mothers, Clio the Muse of History! I'm making tokens for his family in case we meet them in-game and it's a good way to practice rendering skin. I learned a lot with this one! (Even if I think the horns still look wrong).
So many ideas... so little energy.
I played through Origins recently and found I had to turn my graphics settings way down low. Once I did that, the game ran pretty smoothly. (Looked hilariously bad but I could deal with that!)
