Every so often I see some Bad GenAI Takes, and am reminded how genAI actually motivated me to draw more. I’m not trying to compete with it. It just made me feel so much more content with the flawed and human nature of my art that drawing has magically stopped stressing me out.
Just sitting here at 7.20 am, unable to sleep because ill. Just gonna desparately hope I didn’t get covid, because this hot and shivery combo feels an awful lot like when I last had it.
I have now learned to run my finger over the underside of the fabric before advancing the warp. You know, to check for floats I might not spot on the working side.
Gosh I sure do love setting up a rigid heddle loom up for twill, spending hours working on what should be a lovely gradient scarf, only to finish it and find sneaky warp floats that are borderline invisible on the working side.
Something something luddite etc. Did I mention I own two looms? This zigzag scarf is in a shiny aran yarn Edges are a bit iffy, but twill is new to me so I will see how it looks when finished.

When a certain piece of media is so ingrained in the public consciousness and such a part of your younger years that you can't quite help but draw occasional fanart... But then feel dirty because the author tripped fell into some bigotry-infused bog and you don't want it to get on you.

Bloody scammers trying to target the same market they are trying to erase, what the actual... To make it worse, they showed up on my search due to using the term "MaxPack", same as the brushes I was suggesting. Brushes by someone who actually draws with them.
